AlgoHandControl MT5 EAs by chat
Risk presets · alerts · news guard · kill switch

Risk management for your EAs, in plain words.

“Lower risk on all EURUSD EAs”, “tell me when drawdown hits 10 %”, “pause the gold EA around news” — rules and changes you can say, applied on your VPS and verified in MetaTrader.

Managing EA risk means three habits — sizing (which inputs, which presets), watching (drawdown, margin, equity) and reacting fast (pause before news, stop everything when it goes wrong). AlgoHand puts all three in one chat, with a preview before every change and alerts that reach your phone.

How it works

Say the rule, get the message

Size with presets

Each EA gets reviewed presets — low, medium, high — that set several inputs at once. Switching takes one message and shows the diff.

Watch with alerts

Balance, equity, drawdown from the peak, daily loss, margin level, an EA off its chart, a closed deal, a VPS offline — rules fire once and re-arm.

React in one message

“Stop everything on account 4471” soft-stops every EA there. The news guard does the same around scheduled events, and resumes by itself.

The tools, in detail

Risk presets and the kill switch

Presets change inputs; the kill switch is the EA's own “no new trades” input, used for soft stops so open positions stay managed.

Alerts

Evaluated on the server from every terminal report; delivered to Telegram, e-mail or the app. Repeatable rules with a cooldown for things like drawdown.

News guard

An economic calendar on the server; per currency, per impact, per EA. Pauses confirmed by the terminal, resumes when the window closes, and a note when something did not go as planned.

What you need

Your EAs, connected once.

  • MetaTrader 5 on a Windows VPS with the AlgoHand agent
  • Telegram linked to your account for alerts on the phone (e-mail works too)
  • A Trader plan or higher for backtests; alerts and the news guard are in every plan

Questions people ask

Does a soft stop close my open positions?

No. A soft stop turns the EA's own “allow new trades” input off, so it keeps managing what is open and stops opening new positions. Closing positions is your decision, in the terminal.

How fast do alerts arrive?

The agent reports every few seconds; account rules are evaluated on each report, infrastructure rules every minute. A Telegram message typically lands within seconds of the condition.

What if the news guard's pause does not confirm?

The guard follows its own command to the terminal's result. A pause that timed out is treated as uncertain — the resume stays owed until the terminal shows the EA's state — and you get a note.

Can a preset be changed while positions are open?

Only if the EA's restart safety is verified, because a preset change restarts the EA. Otherwise the assistant waits until the EA is flat and tells you why.
