Control your MT5 EAs from Telegram.
The AlgoHand bot lives in the chat you already have open. “What is running?”, “pause Gold Scalper”, “low risk on BTC Grid until Monday” — a preview, a button, done on your VPS.
A Telegram bot for MT5 is only as safe as what stands behind it. Here the bot is a front to the same control server as the dashboard — every message is validated against the EA's known inputs, every change is shown first and confirmed with a button (a PIN if you want), and the result is read back from MetaTrader. Alerts and the news guard arrive in the same chat.

Soft stop: no new trades, open positions stay managed. Nothing is open right now.
Gold Scalper is paused. Say “resume Gold Scalper” when you are back. I will also message you if the drawdown reaches your 8 % rule.
Link once, then just message
Link the chat
In the dashboard, Telegram → Connect Telegram opens the bot with a one-time link. Press Start; the chat is bound to your account. Add a PIN if you want every change to ask for it.
Ask and command
Plain messages or commands: /status, /pnl, /ea, /alerts. The bot answers from your terminals' own data and shows every change as a preview with a button.
Press the button
The button is the confirmation — a typed "yes" is never enough. After the press the agent applies the change on the VPS and the bot reports what MetaTrader read back.
What the bot does in Telegram
Status and P&L
Accounts, running EAs, open positions, closed P&L by EA for any period, an equity curve as a picture — on request or on a schedule you set.
Changes with confirmation
Pause, resume, restart, risk presets, single inputs. Each one previewed; each one confirmed by a button; each one verified in MT5. A typed reply cannot execute anything.
Alerts and the news guard
Drawdown, margin, an EA off its chart, a VPS offline, a closed deal — delivered to the chat. The news guard pauses EAs before scheduled events and resumes them after, and reports both.
What you need
An AlgoHand account and Telegram; the rest is already there.
- MetaTrader 5 on a Windows VPS with the AlgoHand agent connected
- The Telegram app on your phone — the bot is @algohand_bot, linked from the dashboard in one tap
- Optionally a PIN, so a change from a shared phone still needs you
Questions people ask
Is it safe to control trading EAs from a Telegram chat?
The bot cannot place trades and never sees your broker password. Every change goes through the same validation as the dashboard, is shown as a preview, and executes only after a button press (plus a PIN if you set one). Only the person who linked the chat can use it there.
Can I use the bot in a group with my team?
Yes. In a group the bot only acts for the person who linked it; others see the answers. Status questions work for everyone in the group, changes still need the linking person's button.
What about a stale button — can an old message execute something later?
No. A confirmation is valid only for the exact change that was previewed and only for a short time; an old button says the preview has expired and asks for a fresh one.
Do alerts need the dashboard to be open?
No. Alerts are evaluated on the AlgoHand server from every terminal report and sent to Telegram directly; the dashboard is only where you create and edit the rules — or ask the bot to.
